Venus is a decentralised marketplace where both lenders and borrowers can sell and trade stablecoins. Venus is governed by the native VXS token. The Venus Network allows access to an immutable money-market that is all done directly on the blockchain itself. The different assets that are held on the Venus protocol are all tied to what is known as the BEP-20 standard, or the Binance Smart Chain standard. The VAI token is the world’s first decentralised token.
It is backed by a basket of cryptocurrencies and other stable coins. Venus’ platform supports over-collateralised lending, earning interest, and minting the default synthetic VAI stablecoin. Using the VAI token, users can make governance decisions such as improvements to pre-existing products, new collateral integrations, and changes in the parameter of a platform.
