What is Tokocrypto (TKO)?

TKO is the exchange platform token for the Toko Crypto ecosystem. TKO’s foundation was built in the philosophy that people can buy crypto without having to spend exorbitant amounts of money on fees. TKO’s initial  $4.3B launch event on Binance was record breaking and that instantly brought eyes on the project. The project became the first utility token to be registered under BAPPEBTI, which is Indonesia’s Trade and Futures Exchange ministry.

Similar to Binance’s BNB, a portion of the TKO token is burned each quarter. Think about that in conjunction with the money that is magically printed every quarter in the world of traditional currency.

In 2017, TKO’s founder, Pang Xue Kai, discovered an opportunity for the Indonesian crypto market when he saw similarities between what was happening in Indonesia and a phenomenon known as the kimchi premium. Essentially, exchanges were driving the price of Bitcoin so high that premiums as large as 4% but up to over 55% had to be met in order to purchase the crypto.
