Quant is a London-based blockchain interoperability network that aims to connect blockchains and networks on a global scale without losing efficiency. First launched in 2018, Quant aims to bridge the gap between blockchains using an operating system distributed ledger technology referred to as the Overledger Network. Overledger is described by Quant as a platform in which the future digital ecosystem will be built.  

Developers can build multi-chain decentralised applications (MApps) on this platform; however, they need a license to use the platform. Licenses are paid for in QNT, the native utility token of the Quant Network.
