Prometeus Network is an infrastructure system where data algorithms are deployed to process private data and users are thus given more sovereignty and control over data. In other words, Prometeus allows users to sell their data securely without being exploited in the way that Web 2.0 monolithics had taken advantage of them in the years past. Prometeus does not serve any single industry or single angle. Instead, it seeks to disrupt industries that had previously taken advantage of user data (e.g., influencer marketing). Through the different social media platforms, blogger has audiences but data about that audience is not allowed to be accessed by third-party services. The terms of service do have closed access to the APIs that would otherwise allow third-party data analytics. Information such as engagements per post, bot percentages, and audience ranking boosts should be taken into account. The transparent analysis doesn’t exist… yet. In this example with influencers, Prometeus can provide more transparency between the advertisers and influencers, thus taking down the corporate structures that separate the two.
