Swyftx, a leading cryptocurrency exchange in Australia and New Zealand, today announced the listing of Tether Gold (XAUT), a tokenised gold asset backed by physical gold reserves.
The listing will see Swyftx provide a major platform for both XAUT and USDT across the AU/NZ markets, combining large-scale user education, promotional campaigns, and enhanced market access to drive adoption among retail and long-term investors.
With around 1.5 million users globally and more than 1.1 million users across Australia, Swyftx is well placed to introduce Tether’s digital assets to a broad audience seeking diversification and liquidity in an evolving digital economy.
As part of the collaboration, Swyftx will launch a comprehensive campaign focused on Tether Gold (XAUT), a digital asset backed 1:1 by physical gold stored in secure vaults. The initiative aims to educate Australian and New Zealand customers on how XAUT works and its key features.
Through Swyftx’s established Learn & Earn ecosystem, in-app promotion, email campaigns, push notifications and social distribution, multiple customer touch points will feature XAUT.

USDT is widely used globally as a digital asset designed to maintain a value linked to the US dollar for trading and transfers. Swyftx aims to support customer understanding of USDT and its use cases in the AU/NZ market.
The initiative represents one of the most significant joint activations for Tether in the Australian and New Zealand markets to date.
The campaign will include:
- Dedicated educational modules on XAUT and USDT
- Broad in-app and email promotion across Swyftx’s user base
- Launch incentives subject to applicable terms and eligibility requirements
- Social and digital distribution
