Groestl’s ASIC-resistant algorithm — Grøstl-512 — has been developed at the Technical University of Denmark, designed to de-incentivize large mining and liquidity pools. A hybrid PoW-PoS consensus protocol secures Groestlcoin’s network. Groestlcoin is among the first-recorded SegWit implementations and is also compatible with the Lightning Network. The platform has multi-wallet functionality alongside sub-atomic transaction fees and fast settlements. Groestlcoin is supported by an active users’ community, and more importantly, an extremely dedicated development team that churns out major releases once every three months.
